My message is designed to draw you closer to God's heart regarding our daily concerns.
I enjoy crafting a custom message for your audience. Please let me know how I can serve your event planning needs.
As an avid weekend golfer, I’m encouraged by the book, Golf is Not a Game of Perfect by Dr. Bob Rotella, a coach of many champion players who still need help with their thinking about mistakes and imperfections. “Golf is a game played by human beings,” he says, “therefore; it is a game of mistakes.” What sets the champions apart is a vision of victory which carries them through defeats, disappointments, and setbacks.
The riddle I’m trying to solve is becoming a champion of faith--grasping the healing vision of victory which carries us through our brokenness to finding the beauty which lies hidden behind our pain as we live new life in Jesus Christ.
My greatest desire is winning hearts to choose life and light over darkness and death. This mission has found expression in conference workshops for recovery after abortion, in college classrooms teaching storytelling, in prison day rooms sharing prayers, in singing to lonely hearts tucked away in nursing homes, on public speaking platforms, and, for over thirty years, through broadcast communications. Along the way I’ve also had the deep joys of marriage and family and many, many challenging and humbling rounds of golf!
The story I’ve told in all these places is that God’s love has healed my heart. His mercy and grace have served as soothing medicine after fatal mistakes of my own making. I truly believe the story of his love will actually heal our wounded world. That is my true mission as I pursue a vision of giving voice to God’s love.
My first book Cradle My Heart, Finding God’s Love after Abortion is scheduled for release by Kregel Publications in August, 2012. The book was recently featured on Lifeline with Craig Roberts on KFAX in San Francisco, and won First Place in the Sonfire Media contest at the 2010 Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference.
Early Years
My broadcast experience (while known as "Kim Jeffries") includes hosting programs on CBS News/Talk powerhouse WCCO-Radio and WCCO-TV, where I scored my only "first female" credit, as PA Announcer at a Minnesota Twins game. In 2005, I began to develop original programs for KTIS and Faith Radio Network, including Along the Way, a daily interactive talk show, and Life Redeemed™ a reality radio series featuring stories of healing and hope after abortion. Prior to my ten years in talk radio formats, most of my broadcast career was established over the course of 19 years at Contemporary Hit Radio KS95 where I did everything from picking the hits as Music Director to News Anchor and Morning Show Co-Host.
In 2003, I founded a ministry to present professional conferences for individuals recovering from the emotional and spiritual wounds of abortion. The State of MN accredited these faith-based events for training licensed psychologists, marriage and family therapists, and social workers. I've learned so much from those who have shared their hearts with me at these events, and I love to tell this story of God's love, especially as a keynote speaker for churches and pregnancy centers and as conference faculty for Ruth Graham and Friends (2007-2010), Set Apart (2006-2008), Bridging the Gap (2005), Lutherans for Life (2010), Heartbeat International (2011) and other regional and national conferences. I also speak at women’s events, and I have addressed community groups on a variety of topics related to faith and current events.

Community outreach includes serving Atlanta's newly forming Abortion Restoration Ministry Services, and as Board Member and volunteer for HeartBound Prison Ministry (current); appointed by Tim Pawlenty as Chair, MN Governor’s Council on Faith and Community Service Initiative (2006-2008), Board Member at Union Gospel Mission, MN Teen Challenge, Minnesota Prayer Breakfast, and the University of MN Athletics Advisory Council. I was honored to be the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill-MN 2003 Annual Media Award winner. I attended Northwestern University as a theater major, Brown College for my Broadcasting Certificate, and completed my B.S. in Ministry in 2008 at Northwestern College, where I have also served as Adjunct Faculty teaching Media Ministry.
My husband Bruce and I are currently serving our local church and volunteering with Heartbound Ministries here in Atlanta.
